Empowering Women through Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business Sustainability in Nepal and Bangladesh
Australia Awards Fellowships – November 2015
Center for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) of BRAC University, partnering with the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, is going to host a 3-week women entrepreneurs’ exchange program that includes various entrepreneurial learning through workshops and site visits in Australia. The program is scheduled to be held in November 2015.
This program is supported through the Australia Awards Fellowships (AAF) program with the fund from AusAID, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Australian Government.
The program will inject Bangladeshi and Australian emerging women leaders/entrepreneurs with the aim to develop leadership, address priority regional development issues, and build partnerships and linkages between Australian organizations and partner organizations in developing countries.
The program comprises a 3-week training program to nominated fellows that addresses the empowerment of women through entrepreneurship, innovation and business sustainability at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. The topics which will be covered include best practices of successful women entrepreneurs, management of high performance women-owned entrepreneurial ventures, enhancing creativity, innovation and empowerment in women-owned businesses as well as development of processes to build sustainable competitive advantage.
The intensive interactive program will be conducted in six (6) Australian cities, several site visits to successful small enterprises run by women entrepreneurs and workshops from over twenty presenters who will cover a wide range of topics relevant to accelerating and empowering women entrepreneurs.
A mix of interactive and experiential workshops will be conducted by academics, industry presenters and key business association presenters on the one hand and site visits to businesses of successful and award winning women entrepreneurs (infused with integrated presentations by these entrepreneurs) on the other.
