We were delighted to welcome the esteemed team of the U.S. Embassy Dhaka, led by Mr. Bren Flanigan, Deputy Director of Public Engagement.
One of the highlights of the visit was an engaging session titled “Anything Goes: A Conversation with a U.S. Diplomat,” where Bren shared his valuable insights into U.S. foreign policy. BRACU’s enthusiastic students asked questions in this open forum and gained a deeper understanding of U.S. relations with Bangladesh . π£οΈβ¨
In addition, a significant meeting took place at the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), focusing on the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Program, which is being implemented by CED.
During this discussion, we exchanged valuable insights gained from our inaugural cohort, highlighting the learnings and enhancements that have been applied to the second cohort. These improvements will further amplify the program’s impact and create even more opportunities for aspiring women entrepreneurs.
AWE is more than just a program; it’s a collaborative movement that empowers women entrepreneurs by equipping them with essential knowledge, tools, and resources to turn their visions into reality. π©βπΌπͺ
The potential for expanding collaboration with the US Embassy Dhaka is limitless, and we eagerly look forward to continuing our joint efforts in empowering marginalized women in Bangladesh. ππ€
