Role of Intersectionality in Empowering Marginalized Women through Entrepreneurship

Funded by the Open Society University Network (OSUN) [2024]

This research seeks to comprehensively examine the role of intersectionality in empowering marginalized women in entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on the agricultural sector. By delving into the complex interplay of various factors, this study aims to uncover both the opportunities and challenges faced by marginalized women. To achieve this, the research team has conducted interviews with 12 women and plans to facilitate 4 focus group discussions (FGDs) to explore the research question further. Through this investigation, we aim to provide valuable insights into how intersectionality influences the entrepreneurial experiences of marginalized women.
