Mapped in Bangladesh (MiB) is a supply chain disclosure effort and continuation of the first-ever digital map on the ready-made garment (RMG) industry of Bangladesh. The project is being implemented by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) at BRAC University, funded by Laudes Foundation and GIZ, with strategic partners BGMEA and BKMEA. It contains primary data of all the export-oriented RMG factories in the country with essential data and information.
The goal of this census-based mapping project is to collect, curate, and present up-to-date and actionable information to facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogues to enhance supply chain visibility and improve industry-wide environmental, social, and governance (ESG) indices. The objective of MiB is to facilitate linkage among sector stakeholders at national and international levels by providing accurate, credible, and updated RMG factory information in a manner that enables greater efficiency, productivity, accountability, and transparency. Driven by a collective action approach, MiB is collecting inputs from all stakeholders through public crowdsourcing to keep the data accurate and up-to-date.
