Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE): Cohort 1
CED worked on a capacity development project for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), supported by the U.S. Federal Government, the Department of State, and the EMK Center. The goal of the project was to train 50 aspiring women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh who resided in Dhaka. CED provided training to a selected cohort of 50 by following the Dream Builder’s contents, bringing slight changes considering entrepreneurial aspects and the ecosystem of Bangladesh.
The training content was developed in Bengali so Bangladeshi participants could understand the contents well and easily, and thus successfully practice the learning of the program in their initiatives and ventures. This project aimed to support young entrepreneurs by providing access to soft-skills training to establish and grow entrepreneurship, mitigate the gender gap, and empower women entrepreneurs to lead successful businesses to achieve socioeconomic development.
